Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum CRS score?
1,200 points: up to 500 for core factors and your partner, 100 for skill transferability and 600 additional points.
How many points is CLB 9?
31 points per ability for a single applicant (124 for all four) or 29 per ability with a partner (116). CLB 9 in every ability also unlocks the top skill transferability points.
How many points is a master’s degree?
135 for a single applicant or 126 with a partner, plus up to 50 skill transferability points with strong language or Canadian work.
Are job offer points still in the chart?
No. IRCC removed them on March 25, 2025. They used to be 50 points, or 200 for senior management jobs.
How many points do I lose at 30?
Five points (105 instead of 110 for a single applicant), then about five or six more each year until 40. After 40 the drop speeds up, and age points reach 0 at 45.
