What happens to what you enter

  • The CRS, CLB and work experience calculators run in your browser. Your answers are saved on your device only and are never sent to us.
  • The NOC code finder sends the duties you describe to our server and an AI model to find the match. Leave out names and other personal details; the duties are all it needs.
  • The reference letter generator keeps your letter in your browser. Only if you use the optional AI rewrite are your duty notes, job title and NOC code sent; never names, pay or contact details.
  • None of the tools ask for an account, an email address or a phone number.

Where the numbers come from

Occupation codes, titles and duties are adapted from Statistics Canada, National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 Version 1.0. This does not constitute an endorsement by Statistics Canada of this product. Wages come from Job Bank, Employment and Social Development Canada, under the Open Government Licence – Canada.

CRS points and language conversions come from IRCC: the CRS criteria and Express Entry language test results.

CVMaple is not affiliated with IRCC. The tools give estimates; your official score and eligibility are decided by IRCC.

Frequently asked questions

Are these tools really free?

Yes. All of them are free, with no account and no limit on the calculators or the letter builder. The AI parts (NOC matching and duty rewriting) have a daily limit per visitor.

How accurate are they?

The CRS, CLB and work-hours calculators use IRCC’s published tables and rules, checked against worked examples every time the site is built. The NOC finder suggests codes from the official NOC 2021 data; always read the duties of the code before you use it.

Do the tools work in French?

Not yet. They are in English for now. The CLB calculator already handles TEF Canada and TCF Canada scores and shows NCLC levels.

Do you store my answers?

The calculators and the letter builder keep your answers in your own browser only. The NOC finder and the optional duty rewrite send only the text they need to our server, and keep the answer for up to 30 days so the same text gets the same result.

What do I do after I have my score?

Enter the same details in your Express Entry profile, and get your documents ready: reference letters that match your NOC duties, your language test results and your Educational Credential Assessment. A Canadian-format resume helps with job applications and some provincial programs.
