Refund and Cancellation Policy

CVMaple gives you access the moment you pay, so sales are final. That said, we're a small Canadian team, and if a charge went wrong we want to hear about it. Here's how payments, cancellations and refunds work.

The short version

1. Overview

CVMaple is a digital service. Paid plans, the trial and single downloads unlock features, templates and AI credits as soon as the payment goes through. Because what you pay for is delivered straight away, all sales are final, apart from the cases described below.

2. Why we don't offer automatic refunds

Once a plan is active, you can use premium templates, AI credits and downloads right away, and those can't be handed back like a physical product. So we don't refund payments as a matter of course.

We're a small, early-stage Canadian company, and this policy is part of how we keep CVMaple running and affordable for everyone who uses it.

3. Try it before you pay

The free plan is there so you can decide with real information. You can build a resume with any of our templates, use some of the AI features, run a free resume check and download your first PDF without paying. We'd much rather you try things first than pay for a plan that doesn't suit you.

4. The trial and single downloads

Both are final once the purchase is complete, the same as plans.

5. If something went wrong

Refunds aren't standard, but mistakes happen. Get in touch if, for example:

Email support@cvmaple.ca or use the contact page, and include the email address on your account and the date of the charge. A real person will look at your case and work with you on a fair answer.

6. Cancelling a plan

You can cancel Pro or Elite any time on the Billing page. When you cancel:

If you want your account deleted as well, see the Privacy Policy.

7. Chargebacks

Please talk to us before you dispute a charge with your bank or card company. Chargebacks cost a small business like ours a lot in fees, and we can usually fix the problem faster ourselves. A chargeback made in bad faith may lead to the account being suspended.

8. Your rights under Canadian consumer law

This policy is written with Canadian consumer protection law in mind, including Ontario's Consumer Protection Act and the federal Competition Act. Digital services you can use as soon as you buy them are generally not covered by the usual cooling-off periods, as long as you were told the terms before you paid.

Nothing in this policy takes away rights you have under the consumer protection law of your province.

9. Contact

Questions about a payment or your plan: support@cvmaple.ca or the contact page. We usually reply within one to two business days.

Refund questions people ask

Can I get a refund from CVMaple?

Payments are final because you get access right away. If you were charged twice, or a problem on our side stopped you from using what you paid for, email support@cvmaple.ca and we'll look at it.

What happens to my resumes if I cancel?

Nothing. They stay in your account. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to the free plan and its limits.

Do I need to cancel the $3.99 trial?

No. The trial is a one-time charge and never renews. After 7 days your account goes back to the free plan on its own.

I don't recognize a CVMaple charge. What should I do?

Email support@cvmaple.ca with the date and amount before you call your bank. We'll tell you what it was for, and fix it if it's a mistake.
